Vintage Wedding Ideas
Vintage inspired wedding ideas - no matter the size of your budget!
Congrats! You’ve got engaged, you’ve bought one of our fabulous and helpful wedding diaries… but what next? A great starting off point is knowing what theme you’d like and then considering your budget. As many a bride-to-be can attest, Pinterest gave them a much bigger wedding in their mind than what they could actually afford! There’s no harm in dreaming of course but it will help you with your planning to keep your budget in mind and it may even be a good idea to allow a little “slush” in your budget for a few unplanned expenses that are bound to creep in.
Once you’ve got your budget pinned down it’s time to get creative…
Pinterest is a great place to start - we’ve got a lovely selection of vintage pins to inspire you on our Wedding Ideas board along with loads of great DIY projects if you’re on a really tight budget! Dessy is also another great resource when looking for inspiration. Their pantone gallery has thousands of pantone inspired mood boards created by other users and you can also create your very own style board by dragging in images from their photography gallery, dresses and accessories from their catalogue, pantone swatches or even uploading your own photos.
Dessy also have a free “Will You Be My Bridesmaid / Maid of Honor” card generator - simply choose your preferred design, pantone colour and then download the image to print out or email to your bridemaids or maid of honour to ask them to be part of your special day. (We used the bicycle design in pantone colour “meadow” for our image).
And of course the internet is a never ending source of information with loads of local websites dedicated to offering advice, discussion forums, recommending suppliers in your area and more!
We hope you find these tips useful and do let us know of any other great finds that have helped you to plan your wedding.
